Awards
These awards recognize leadership and contributions of exceptional
administrative or operational services in support of the primary missions
and programs of UT-Battelle. Contributions worthy of recognition include
significant efficiency improvements, major cost-avoidance or cost-reduction
activities, and innovations that significantly enhance the attainment
of programmatic goals. Important in this awards category are contributions
that significantly improve safety and security in the workplace, promote
a healthy and diverse working environment, deliver quality services,
and protect our environment. Both extraordinary individual and team
efforts recognized in this awards category.

Science and
Technology Awards
These awards recognize staff who have provided critical leadership
or made significant scientific, engineering, or technical contributions
in support of UT-Battelles programmatic goals. Both individual
and team contributions are recognized in this awards category.
Awards are given for scientific research, applied science, development
of technology, engineering, or invention. Contributions worthy
of recognition include research or engineering accomplishments
that make a significant contribution to a mainstream activity;
inventions with realized or potential value to UT-Battelle, the
government, or commercial clients; or key scientific publications,
conference proceedings, or books that have had significant impact.
Awards are given for superlative accomplishments during the past
year, over a number of years, or within the early years of recipients
career.
