Student Poster Competition

26th Symposium

 A Guide for Students

Posters submitted by students will be automatically entered into a competition for "Outstanding Student Presentation," to be judged by a panel chosen from academia, government, and industry.  Posters should be categorized by the student (with guidance from their professor) as:

Engineering:   Modeling, process design, or optimization of process parameters

or

Science/Technology:  Discovery of new knowledge, descriptions of new systems or techniques, or elaboration of fundamental information about known systems and processes.

A poster will be chosen from each category, and the recipient of the award will receive a certificate, a copy of the Proceedings from the 26th Symposium, and a complimentary registration to an upcoming Symposium.

Important:

1.  Please indicate when you submit your abstract which category you prefer for your poster.

2.  The panel may, at their discretion, recategorize a poster if it is deemed to be in another category.

3.  An author can be classified as a Student if the work was performed as part of the requirement for their degree; i.e., a research associate who has completed doctoral studies in the past year.
