Award Criteria
Young Engineer
To be presented annually to a member of the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Section of
the AIChE under the age of 40 for outstanding contribution(s) of any kind,
the contribution(s)to be described in not more than two sentences on the
nomination form and to be printed on the award certificate. This award will
be presented at the February section meeting.
Engineer of the Year
To be presented annually to a member of the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Section of
the AIChE for outstanding contribution(s) of any kind, the contribution(s) to
be described in not more than two sentences on the nomination form and to be
printed on the award certificate. This award will be presented at the April
section meeting. The winner's name will be engraved on a plaque that is
displayed in Dougherty Engineering Building.
Service
To be presented annually to a member of the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Section of
the AIChE for outstanding service as a chemical engineer, the
service to be described in not more than two sentences on the nomination
form and to be printed on the award certificate. This award will be presented
at the November section meeting.
Research/Technical Achievement
To be presented annually to a member of the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Section of
the AIChE for outstanding contribution(s) through chemical engineering
research, the contribution(s) to be described in not more than two sentences
on the nomination form and to be printed on the award certificate. This award
will be presented at the December section meeting.
