Sorry for taking so long to summarize.

I purchased a TLZ07 to use on a DECsystem 5000/200 running Ultrix 4.4.  I
was having problems using the drive and posted to this group.  Everybody
that responded said that it should work, and offered some solutions on how
to get it to work.  I kept at it and indeed it does work for me.  My
initial problem was three bad tapes in a row.  (what are the chances?)

A TLZ07 seems to work fine on Ultrix 4.4.  I turned on compression and 
ran the tapex program.  It passed all the test.  (Interestingly enough 
the TLZ06 that I have been using, and that DEC qualified for the platform, 
fails the Command Timeout Testing)
