- Thread-topic: SUMMARY: problem with ics0 memory channel connect access
I reported problems with a T64 5.1a (recently rebuilt) cluster returning
"connection refused" errors on running "clu_check_config", and reporting
services down when they weren't.
Thanks to John Lanier suggested checking /.rhosts and associated files,
noting that though sites are turning off rsh for security reasons the
cluster still needs it. I had to re-add rsh to /etc/inetd.conf, restart
the inetd, and add rsh entries to /etc/hosts.allow to get things
working. I had /.rhosts set correctly, but didn't enable it on the
system.
Thanks to everyone who replied!
