SUMMARY: X server on a different port than 6000

Dear Managers,
I thank Dr. Tim Cutts, Mr. Hercaud, Steve Feehan and James Sainsbury for
their prompt and useful responses.

One method is to change the default port for X server  in
/usr/dt/config/Xservers from ":0" (6000) to ":10" (6010) to run in a
different port.
But this may not be a solution in many of the cases, so the better
alternative is to tunnel  X sessions through SSH.
Using terminal emulators with SSH extensions  (for .e.g PUTTY) and PC X
server such as Exceed, i was able to run X without any problems.

I configured my PC Exceed software to run in passive mode.
Then in a PUTTY terminal emulator (with X11 forwarding ON), i made a SSH
connection to the unix box through the firewall and ran the following:
$ /usr/dt/bin/Xsession &

The good news is that the above also holds good in a single window session
environment in Exceed.
