The overall is that with SP3, I should have the latest CC in the field. Also, most respondants pointed me to Developers Toolkit, with the "newer" Compaq C Compiler, plus other tools.

There was a note that I'd need developers toolkit license. This has left me a bit confused. I know of OSF-DEV-USER license and I have it, but it is not loaded on my system. The only thing I have is CXXOSF-USER. Anyway, the new compiler works.

The problem with -O4 flag persists. As sugested, I tried -O3 and that passes. I guess I'll use -O3 in the future.
