Moving a root disk to another AlphaServer

I'm tying to enable a Tru64UNIX 5.0
disk drive in an AlphaServer 300.
I've already recreated the new kernel
and booting to single user works ok.
I'm receiving and error when
"dsfmgr -N " automatically runs on booting (hanging forever!).
I guess I might have device database corrupted.
How can I delete and rebuild it again.
