Problem in Automounting NFS

Hello Sys. Admins,

Greetings to All.

I recently re-loaded DEC-OSF V4.0D, in Digital Alpha Station, after configuring
DNS, NIS and NFS, i am not able to enter into my home directory which is NFS
automounted file system.

But, as a NIS user, i am able to successfully login to that machine but leading
to '/' directory by saying No directory but it should go to home directory
which should be NFS automounted.

Another problem, is i am not able to rlogin or telnet with other hosts using
hostname, instead it is successful with IP address....

Pls. throw some light, to overcome this....
