Reposting CDE problem

Hi managers,

    I have a cde problem:
        All users cann't start a cde session except the root. all users
are rejected without any error message, and the window of authentication

reappear.
    I have 4.0D with patch kit 3, this computer was a DNS server and
this problem appear when i changed his configuration into a client of an

other server and reboot the computer.
    i try to add new users, but no way , the new users also cann't open
the cde session.
    i change the CDE to XDM, all users can open their session.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciatied!
