NSR problems recovering an ADVFS File Domain

I am trying to recover a complete ADVFS file domain 
using Networker Save and Restore (NSR) savesets. It 
consists of about 150,000 files spread out over more 
than a dozen tapes. 

I would like to recover all the files in one pass 
through the tapes but if I try to recover to much at one 
time I get messages such as the following...

nwrecover: cannot open `./generic/mk6user/workview/' to 
set AdvFS attributes: Too many open files

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a 
configuration setting I have missed that will allow a 
large number of files to be recovered? Is this a NSR 
issue or a Kernal issue?
