SUMMARY: Multiscreens ?

Hi everybody,

A couple of days ago we launched the following question :

****************************************************************
*	We are looking for a way to manage multiscreens on a *
*	DEC alpha. Looking in the man pages for Mwm, the only *
*	thing we learned was to use the resource : *
*	Mwm*multiScreen which should be set to True. Now the *
*	only minor detail that has to be solved is how to *
*	switch between screens!                                *
****************************************************************

Many answers came in. Basicaly they all had the same message.

1. Mwm cannot manage multiple *virtual* screens. The -multiscreen
option in mwm is intended to allow mwm to handle multiple physical
screens.

2. I you want multiple virtual desktops, and keep window decorations
and menus similar to mwm you have to run fvwm. You can get it at :
spcot.sanders.com:/pub/fvwm/

Thanks to all who responded.

Ciao,

Lars & Erik.
