System hangs

We have an Alpha 4000-610 running OSF 2.0a that is being used for a simulation 
project with large scenarios that can kick off about 150 processes, 50 processes 
at a time.  The MAXUSERS = 64 and the MAXUPRC =200.  When these large scenarios 
run, the system hangs, the console locks up.  No error messages on the console, 
in logs, etc.  

The simulation had worked under OSF 1.3 with the increases to MAXUSERS (64), 
MAXUPRC (200) and MBCLUSTERS (now-dynamically defined under osf 2.0).  Is there 
another way to increase the mbuf clusters? Other options?
