Group-ID of regulars files

Hello, OSF managers,

I'm using DEC OSF1 V1.3, and have a question about the group-id of files :

   When a user creates a file in a directory, the group-id of this file is
   equal to the group-id of the directory (system V behaviour)

   Is it possible to have the BSD behaviour, i.e. : the group-id of the file
   is equal to the group-id of the user ?
