Re: Listening on a second port?

Ok, here's what I did:

-Copied /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/ to
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd2/
-Edited qmail-smtpd2/run and changed the port number
-Edited qmail-smtpd2/log/run and changed the logging directory to
/var/log/qmail/smtpd2/
-Symlinked /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd2/ to /services/qmail-smtpd
-Created /var/log/qmail/smtpd2/ and chown qmaill
-Setup my qmailctl file to start and stop it just like it does
qmail-smtpd

It *apears* to start, no error message or anything, and it shows up as
running if I do "qmailctl stat", but nothing is listening on that port.
I also end up with defunct tcpserver processes.

What did I do wrong?

Did you add 587/tcp in /etc/services ?
