Re: help on making qmail accept mails

hi again,

    here is the result of tailing the current log

2002-06-03 17:06:55.608890500 tcpserver: pid 2766 from 203.xx.yy.35
2002-06-03 17:06:55.608910500 tcpserver: ok 2766 0:203.xx.yy.35:25
gateway.msi.net.ph:203.xx.yy.35::1077
2002-06-03 17:06:55.801655500 tcpserver: end 2766 status 0
2002-06-03 17:06:55.801679500 tcpserver: status: 0/20
2002-06-03 17:31:21.014737500 tcpserver: status: 1/20
2002-06-03 17:31:21.027463500 tcpserver: pid 3094 from 203.xx.yy.35
2002-06-03 17:31:21.079937500 tcpserver: ok 3094 0:203.xx.yy.35:25
gateway.msi.net.ph:203.xx.yy.35::1088
2002-06-03 17:31:21.271933500 tcpserver: end 3094 status 0
2002-06-03 17:31:21.271955500 tcpserver: status: 0/20
2002-06-03 18:43:45.600924500 tcpserver: status: 0/20

   and it seems that what you said is really the case. how come mails from
the outside (those not coming from japan clients) do not receive a bounce
error message? or is this another MS (Exchange) non-standard behavior?

   unfortunately i dont have any rights nor knowledge on configuring the
exchange server. making the current administrator do it would also be an
extreme exercise of will power, patience, and persuasion (read: dumb BOFH).
i was trying to avoid this but it seems the ball has left my hands now.
thanks anyway!

ciao!
