AdvFS: missing or corrupted disklabel

When I attempt to create the file domain I receive the following message:

#mkfdmn /dev/rz10c root_backup
The disklabel for /dev/rrz10c does not exist or is corrupted.
Quitting ....

But the device is always at /dev/rrz10a thru rrz10h and /dev/rz10a thru rz10h

What do i make wrong ?
Could you please send me all steps needed to put an new scsi disk to the
system ?
