I reported a "hanging" problem with my DEC3100 RISC ULTRIX4.2A 
workstations using Motif window manager.

Eight people responded to me. Apparently this is a well-known bug in Xws
for which there exists a patch. Many encouraged me to upgrade to the
latest version ULTRIX4.3A (I'm still a bit new to this system-managing task).
One person recommended that I use xdm instead of dxsession.

Random Hangs When Using Motif Pulldown Menus (CXO-08601, CXO-08695, CXO-08704)

    With ULTRIX DECwindows for OSF/Motif V1.1.3, the user interface
    sometimes hangs after a pulldown menu has been posted.
