| Carolyn Krause of the Office of Communications and Public Affairs has been elected fellow of the International Society of Technical Communication. Bonnie Nestor, manager of institutional planning at ORNL, has been elected associate fellow. Krause, who is editor of ORNL Review, a perennial STC award winner, became an associate STC fellow three years ago.
![]() Dr. Robert C. Bernstorf Sr. of ETTP's medical department recently passed a certification examination in occupational medicine given by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. This certification, added to his certifications by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Emergency Medicine, makes him one of the few doctors in the United States who are certified by three different medical boards.
![]() Bob McCoy, a project estimator in Engineering at ETTP, was awarded the Total Cost Management Award of Excellence by the East Tennessee Section of the American Association of Cost Engineers. The section's highest achievement award is given to a member who has made an outstanding contribution or has rendered an outstanding service. McCoy is a certified cost consultant and currently is serving on the section's board of directors. He also is a member of the AACE International Environmental Cost Control Committee and is on the Environmental Quality Advisory Board for the city of Oak Ridge. | |
