| Travel agency chosen to service Energy Systems and ORNL
American Express Travel Services has been awarded the contract to provide travel management and reservation services for Energy Systems and ORNL effective January 1. Compelling reasons for the selection of American Express Travel Services were their very high customer satisfaction rating and their ability to provide after-hours emergency service. Travel Site Offices will remain in their current locations at both ORNL (4500N) and Energy Systems (9711-5); however, the Travel Site Office located at 1099 Commerce Park will cease operations on or before December 31. Sharon S. Eason, travel coordinator, will be responsible for the liaison activities between with American Express Travel Services. Even though a new agency will provide future travel services to our employees, travelers will experience no apparent change in current travel request processes. Reservationists will be located on-site to accept call-in reservations or electronic travel requests through the Travel Information System. The American Express Travel Services group has no connection to the corporate card program. Employees will continue to utilize the US Bank Visa Corporate Card for travel expenditures. |
