Audio Spot: ORNL oversees industrial sites' energy assessment program
| Audio Clip |
Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Tony Wright says the Save Energy Now program involves three-day energy assessments that are crucial to factories seeking to reduce costs.
"These factories and businesses are going through a period of tightening supplies and rising energy costs," Wright says. "Part of this Save Energy Now Initiative is the performance of energy savings assessments of 200 of the largest industrial facilities."
The assessments have already identified the equivalent of $95 million in saved energy costs. The assessments are scheduled to be completed by December 2006.
