ORNL hosts two summer camps
OAK RIDGE, Tenn., April 27, 2001 Two sciences camps for students in the fourth through sixth grades will be offered this summer at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
The camps are scheduled June 11-15 and June 18-22.
Open to students in the fourth through sixth grades, the camps will focus on a variety of science topics approached through field explorations and hands-on activities. Campers will learn about insects, habitats, water, life, science, weather, rockets, geology, astronomy and robots.
The camps will take place Mondays through Fridays at Freels Bend Cabin on DOE's Oak Ridge Reservation. Each camp is limited to 25 campers. The cost is $160.
