Highway 95 Trash Bash
A two-mile stretch of State Highway 95 from Bethel Valley Road to Bear Creek Valley Road is periodically rendered easier on the eyes and cleaner, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers who support the environment. The group has undertaken several trash pickups over the last 3 years in the area. On April 27, 2004, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., 32 individuals conducted a well organized pickup, collecting, and disposing of a dump truck full of debris, thus enhancing the scenery for staff, visitors, and passersby. Participants re-convened for a catered lunch at the Hot Bagel on the Laboratory's "Main Street" on May 6, to celebrate their success. |
