Alzheimer's TN Walk

Team UT-Battelle Raises $10K for the Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc.

Team UTB members participated in the Five-County “Alzheimer’s Walk” on Oct. 6 to benefit Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. As a result of the walk and ORNL activities that included a “House Arrest", an on-line auction, and contributions from many ORNL staff, about $10,400 was raised to benefit Alzheimer’s research and local families dealing with this disease.

Team UTB members thanked Kathy Carney and Gail Lewis for their participation in the House Arrest, and to all ORNL Staff who contributed during the events. Gail and Kathy were second and third, respectively, top individual fund raisers for the five-county campaign.

For the first-place corporate award, the team won 10 pizzas from Domino's Pizza and 10 $15 Cinemark movie passes, which were donated to the Michael Dunn Center for adults and children with developmental disabilities in Roane County.
