Curt Cloninger

Curt Cloninger is an artist, designer, writer and Assistant Professor of New Media at the University of North Carolina, Asheville. He is the author of several books, most recently Fresher Styles for Web Designers (2009) and Hot-Wiring Your Creative Process (2006). His work has been featured in The New York Times and I.D. Magazine, on ABC World News and at art exhibitions from Korea to Brazil. Curt also maintains lab404.com, playdamage.org and deepyoung.org in order to facilitate a more lively remote dialogue with the Sundry Essences of Wonder.

Joe Lewis

Joe Lewis, a recognized expert in standards-based web development and accessibility, is co-author of the books Foundation Website Creation with CSS, XHTML and JavaScript and Advanced CSS. Joe is Chief Web Architect at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California. Before falling into the obsessive career of web design and development, Joe was a professional musician. He is a classically trained double bassist and graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and he has performed with orchestras and chamber groups in major concert halls and festivals across the United States and Europe.

Jesse Wagner is co-founder of Nathanna, a progressive graphic design firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has performed web design work for national entities such as HGTV and the Food Network, along with local mainstays, such as the Market Square District. Along with web design, Jesse is also a master of typography, print design and illustration.

Estelle Weyl Senior Web Developer for a small startup, writes for her blog, Standardista, speaks about web development and is a consulting web developer. She has been coding CSS, XHTML, JavaScript and PHP since 1999. She currently focuses on microformats, image effects using CSS, eventlisteners/eventhandlers and cross browser AJAX using YUI and a php proxy.
