Please join us for this exciting celebration of the contributions of fusion and plasma theory to the physical sciences.
Gerogia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Monday March 22, 1999 - Wednesday March 24, 1999
Exceptionally in 1999, the Sherwood International Fusion/Plasma Theory Conference will be held as part of the American Physical Society (APS) 1999 Centennial Meeting which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia from Saturday March 20, 1999 to Friday March 26, 1999. The Sherwood Meeting proper will take place from Monday March 22, 1999 through Wednesday March 24, 1999. This special Sherwood meeting will serve as a showcase of fusion and plasma theory, along with the broader participation of the Division of Plasma Physics (DPP) at the APS 1999 Centennial Meeting.
Please consult the following URL for further information about the Centennial Meeting: http://www.aps.org/meet/CENT99/

The Sherwood Plenary Session on Monday March 22, 1999 will be devoted to review talks on contributions of fusion and plasma theory to the nonlinear dynamics of complex systems.
Exceptionally this year, APS rules are also being followed. Registration for the Sherwood meeting is the same as for the whole Centennial Meeting, a further incentive for Sherwood participants to enjoy the week-long celebration. The early bird (lowest) fee for registration on or before January 15, 1999 has been set at $225.00. Registration on January 15, 1999 must be made by 5 p.m. EST. Please avail yourself of the electronic registration form at: http://www.aps.org/meet/CENT99/cent-reg.pdf
Lodging for the Sherwood meeting is also handled through the APS Centennial housing procedure. A complete list of hotels can be found at the following URL: http://www.aps.org/meet/CENT99/cent-hous.pdf
The abstract deadline for Sherwood plenary, oral and poster Sherwood presentations is December 4, 1998, 5 p.m. EST. Please note that we are following the APS 'april meeting' deadlines. Electronic submission only is acceptable. Please specify oral or poster when you submit electronically, along with the following broad Sorting Categories:
