Telephone (865) 574-7256
Dr. Usha
Jagadish received her Ph.D. in
Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, in May 1993.
During the course of her study, she worked as a Research Associate in
the Power System Automation laboratory at Texas A&M. Her focus of study was in the area of space
station power automation, using mixed signal CMOS Application Specific ICs
(ASICs). She received both her
Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India. She worked as a Teaching and Research fellow and
was part of the teaching staff in the Electrical Engineering Department of
Anna University, Chennai, India for two years.
She joined the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, as a Research and Development Staff in the
Monolithic Systems Development group in 1994.
She has since then concentrated on the development of highly integrated
CMOS analog and mixed signal ASICs for use in high-energy and heavy-ion
physics experiments. She has also been
working in wireless electronics development by designing and implementing
application specific wireless circuit designs. Her areas of interest include mixed-signal
analog and digital circuit design, wireless integrated circuit design, sensor
integration, VLSI and wireless system design.
