	Hello all,

My problem was

and I got help from Sean O'Connell who says :
1) :
netscape looks in $HOME/.netscape directory for people's bookmarks
in a file called bookmarks.html . make sure that file exists and
is writeable by the user. really old versions of netscape used
different locations, but nothing has changed too dramatically. Take
a look a their $HOME/.netscape/preferences.js file and make sure
that it is looking where you think.

What shell are you using? Could the homedirectory identification
be messed up? etc?

2):
It is odd. It still sounds like a path or permissions problem.
Is anything in your .netscape directory owned by root or a user
other than you? This is truly odd. If you start netscape via
the command line, does it work?

What options is netscape being started with from the CDE banner?
I don't use CDE (and try to stamp it down as much as possible...
icky, icky). I also, install netscape myself (in fact, I did
a setld -d OSFNETSCAPE440, but to prevent it from being loaded
by other software or complained about, I did touch the lock file
/usr/.smdb./OSFNETSCAPE440.lk :)

After these advices, I had a look to preferences.js which is
automatically generated by netscape and find in it that
user_pref pointed allmost all to /usr/users/account_name
but I have all my accounts on /usr1/users/account_name.
So I couldn't find into the netscape preferences where
I can set the prefs to /usr1, the only way I found (and it works)
was to make links , from /usr/users/... to /usr1/users/...
	Ok it works but ?????

Of course, before trying with the links, I checked all
	the write permissions on /usr1/users/...

	Strange.
