Dear Alpha-OSF-Managers,

I have a query from one of our software developers... he is runing DU3.2C
on a AlphaStation 200 4/100. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"I am getting an EPERM (Permission denied) back from the connect()  system
call. This is not a valid response according to the manual entry.  The
server socket was active and could be connected to from another machine
and I could also telnet to it from the Alpha. I was running as root when
the EPERM was returned! There is not much that root cannot do!"
