sessions timing out

I have an AlphaServer 2000 running Digital Unix v3.2E. I have local users
that have migrated to the AlphaServer from an Ultrix box connecting through
a local area network via telnet complaining that after ~20 minutes of idle
time their session will time out. 

Has anyone ever heard of this? Is it a network problem (it's never
happened in the past when they connected to the Ultrix box)? Does it have
something to do with the terminal they are connecting to on the
AlphaServer?
