xdm problem that eventually hangs workstations?

Hi Folks:

	A couple of months ago someone sent mail describing a problem that
causes workstations to hang after many xdm login/logout cycles.
I _DID_ reproduce the problem, but I deleted the mail describing it.
Does anyone have a copy of that problem description that they can send again?
