Hi,
I just upgraded my workstation from a 2000/300 to a 3000/400
and have a couple of questions regarding the video cables for these
machines. The 2000/300 came with a VRC-16 monitor that has a 5 bnc
connector video cable, and the 3000/400 has a VRM-17 monitor that
has a 3 bnc connector cable, which drives the monochrome monitor
from the green/sync connector off the video cable. I connected the
VRC-16 to the 3000/400 using the red green and blue connectors
off the cable supplied with the machine. The monitor works *great*
and has amazing resolution and color. However, the 2000/300 will
not drive the monochrome monitor (VRM-17) off the green/sync bnc
connector. My guess is that the green/sync is not supplying a
sync signal. Is there some way I can get the 2000/300 to drive the
VRM-17 monochrome monitor so I can keep the VRC-16 color monitor on
the new workstation? Is there a switch or jumper on the video card
or do I need a special cable? All help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
