Awesome rant. I fully agree.


I personally run my own qmail server on a broadband connection, but all my mail gets sent all the way to texas, and then to wherever it needs to go, so that i don't run into RBLS or have my mail dropped anywhere because of it being a broadband IP address. I find that this is a hoop to jump through, but it is worth taking, considering the fact that now i at least feel i have done my part in helping out other admins with their job.
