To supervise or to not supervise?

I've been running qmail for years without supervise and I've never seen
qmail crash or "stop by itself."

We're finally getting around to deploying it at work as our production
spam/ClamAV box etc. and I'm wondering if I should reconsider using
supervise.

I tend to feel like it "over complicates" things and also feel like if a
program is going to "crash" or whatever qmail might do, sometimes its just
best to let it. At the same time, in the past I haven't had mail this
important.

This all being said this box will probably be in parallel with an identical
box so if one goes down the other should pick up the mail.
