Question/Survey about Serialmail and maildirsmtp...

I am wondering if people could let me know how they are using
maildirsmtp in their environments and in general, the serialmail
package.

ALSO

If anyone (especially in the bay area) is interested in working with
me on developing a pretty granularly controlled backup mx system using
these tools please let me know.

I've had a rough document describing how it will work floating around
my workspace for quite a while and I now have the time to implement
it.(and the need).

I'm flexible as to the license I (we) release under.  (BSD most
likely).  If you are interested but not in the bay area please ping me
offlist anyways.

If you have some features you want to make sure are included please
let me know.  Currently my requirements are more or less:

o- Seamless integration with qmail (netqmail, whatever) with few or no patches.
o- Full quota support at the domain and possibly even user level.  I
understand this extends the definition of backupmx but it is needed.
o- Of course, domans and users need to be managed logically, modular
backends, cdb, sql, filesystem
o- Hooks for pausing, checking, starting and stopping the backup mx process.
and some others more obscure features...
