Unless that software uses the envelope recipient information, there
should be no problems. Still...

If you're really hell-bent on preserving the envelope recipient, the
only thing I can think of is to install a second qmail instance (rooted
at, say, /var/qmail2) and change my previous .qmail-based solution to:
| /var/qmail2/bin/forward "$EXT@domain.de"
where /var/qmail2/control/smtproutes obviously contains:
domain.de:office.domain.de
and /var/qmail2/control/{locals,virtualdomains} obviously /don't/
contain "domain.de".
