Sendmail problems
Hi all:
I'm having a sticky problem with sendmail. I just moved my workstation
from my old job to my new job, and the hostname changed from
"brashear.wellesley.edu" to "brashear.phys.appstate.edu". I've changed
rc.local, hosts, networks, resolv.conf, and sendmail.cw to reflect the
new IP address, router, nameservers, and hostname. I'm running sendmail
v8.9.0. Networking on the machine seems to work fine, but if I send
email from a remote machine to brashear, it goes into the queue but is
never delivered to the user. If I try to send mail from one user to
another on brashear, using mail -v username, sendmail hangs at the
"Connecting to local..." message. I've tried rebuilding sendmail, and
commenting out the Fw line in /etc/sendmail.cf, all to no avail. I'm
sure this is something simple that I am missing (mail worked fine before
the move), but I just can't find it. Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
