SUMMARY: ULTRIX Year 2000

Well, my original question was 'is ULTRIX going to have any sort of problems
with Y2K'. So far the definitive answer is probably, maybe. I've rolled the
clock over manually (I haven't actually rolled it, then shut it off and power
it back on to see if the RTC is cool with it, but oh well) and it seems to do
the millenium thing without a problem. The date command obviously needs to be
updated since it doesn't allow you to specify a century, but that's no big,
there's always GNU date. Who knows about the various layered products for
ULTRIX, and for that matter, I really don't care. But on the whole, ULTRIX
and the DECstation 5000 series seems to be good to go for Y2K. On the other
hand, by that time, if I even have this machine still, I'll probably be
running one of the free UNIX's. Ah well.

The NOOP command always succeeds. It does nothing.
