iostat - counter went negative

[DECsystem 5000/150, Ultrix 4.3A, 2 RZ58 disks on 1 SCSI channel]

I've been doing some data collection using iostat to check an I/O bottleneck.
A second channel has been ordered, I'm doing a before and after analysis.

On Saturday the counter for average bps for rz0 flipped from 117 to -117.

Then it happened for rz1 too; it flipped from 114 to -114....
