The Wigner Fellowship Program at ORNL is a two-year staff position awarded on merit, as well as "best fit" to ORNL research programs and needs. We select Fellows periodically according to available funding. Applications are initially reviewed upon receipt, and a new Fellow is selected by a special review committee approximately every three months, but there is no set schedule. The committee selects 3-5 Fellows each year. ORNL currently has
10 Fellow positions.
Please note that applicants are eligible within three years of completing the doctorate. Applicants are not eligible who have engaged in more than one post-doctoral position. ORNL postdoctoral appointees and staff members cannot be considered as valid applicants for the Fellowship.

- Resume or Curriculum Vitae citing publications and awards
- Three references (including letters and rating form: ORNL-667) from those well acquainted with your scientific work
- Official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate schools (must be translated if in another language; also need to indicate grading system, if not included on transcript)
- A statement of proposed research, using this template, indicating work that would be pursued if the Fellowship were awarded.
