Tennessee Valley Tri-Lateral Alliance Agreement
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), designed to enhance the working relationships among three major Federal research facilities in the Tennessee Valley, has been enacted. Specifically, this agreement involves:
The Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) www.ornl.gov
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) www.msfc.nasa.gov/
The Department of Defense's Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) www.arnold.af.mil/
The purpose of this tri-lateral agreement is to facilitate cooperation, coordination, and utilization of complementary federal facility capabilities. The MOU recognized that the MSFC, AEDC, and ORNL have certain common interests in technology transfer, economic development, and in reuse of government assets. The MOU charged the parties to initiate actions to:
Assess the authorities for interagency work.
Establish streamlined interagency agreements and processes for doing work with each other.
Enhance regional economic development under MOU.
To discuss Tri-Lateral Alliance opportunities, please contact Economic Development Manager Terry Payne paynetl@ornl.gov.
