William P. Painter

Bill Painter transferred from the Prime Contracts Administration Division where he was a Senior Contracts Administrator. He has worked at ORNL for the past 12 years in the fields of procurement, technology transfer and contracts. Before coming to the ORNL, he was a Supervisor for Major Subcontracts at Martin Marietta Aerospace ( Denver, Colorado) and a Subcontract Administrator at both the National Renewable Energy Laboratory ( Denver, Colorado) and the Los Alamos National Laboratory ( Los Alamos, New Mexico). Painter is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager and was awarded Fellow status by the National Contracts Management Association. Painter lives in West Knox County, Tennessee with his wife, Sue.
