Technology Transfer Director Casey Porto and other staff from the Technology Transfer and Economic Development Directorate recently conducted an introductory seminar on ORNL's technology commercialization process, from invention disclosure through patenting, licensing and beyond. The factors involved in key decisions along the way were one of many topics discussed.

Matt Kisber Speaks at ORNL Town Hall Forum

 On August 9, ORNL, the Northeast Tennessee Technology Council and Eastman Chemical Company co-sponsored an ORNL Town Hall Forum at the MeadowView Resort and Conference Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.  The primary purpose of the event was to inform organizations in the Tri-Cities region of planned ORNL procurements for the next 12-18 months and opportunities for transferring technologies from ORNL.  Also at the event, Congressman Bill Jenkins received the Spirit of Free Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
