Nondisclosure Agreements The UT-Battelle Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA) enables ORNL to exchange Proprietary and Business Sensitive Information with industry, academia, and governmental agencies. By executing an NDA, the parties to the agreement acknowledge their responsibility to protect information from further unauthorized disclosure.
NDA-Out
The NDA-Out allows us to disclose invention information to another party. In this way, our ability to obtain a patent on the invention is not jeopardized.
NDA-In
Because of the work conducted at ORNL, our scientists may need to access another party's Proprietary Information to facilitate our mission for DOE. An NDA-In requires us to protect another party's Proprietary Information while advancing our research.
NDA-Mutual
Under a mutual NDA, UT-Battelle and another party can provide and receive information while agreeing to protect such information from further unauthorized disclosure.
