LDRD Launch
Overview
Each year, Oak Ridge National Laboratory funds approximately five projects with the potential for significant economic impact as a part of its Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) program. At the end of the year, the top two or three projects are selected for increased follow-on funding with a goal of having new technologies ready for commercial partnerships at the end of the second year.
These projects are developing exciting new technologies with applications ranging from advanced battery technologies to novel coatings. We encourage you to review the project descriptions, ask the researchers questions, and let us know if you would like to be notified when the technologies are available for licensing. Be sure to visit the Upcoming Events and Technologies Availble for Licensing regularly for notifications of upcoming seminars and presentations related to these projects.
