The Quality Assurance (QA) Verification Program supports the Waste Certification Program (WCP), the WCP Plan, and the Waste Certification Official (WCO) for ORNL. The primary function of QA Verification Program is to establish and execute appropriate methods for verifying data submitted for certification by the generator, conduct performance assessments, establish divisional waste certification self-assessment schedule, & other activities that are requested by the WCO or otherwise as directed by the WCP. Table 2 Method: Table 2 was established by creating objectives, for qualifying waste steams, based on waste type which include: CH-SLLW, CH-TRU, RH-SLLW, RH-TRU, mixed, hazardous, SLLW, & non-regulated waste. A computer-generated program randomly selects waste streams based on the information provided by the generator. The program looks at characterization, calculations, process knowledge, NRA, container log sheet data, analytical data, sampling plans, & WAC requirements. Table 3 Method: Table 3 identifies Performance Assessments that are to be completed, with the status of those assessments, throughout the year. Other methods are determined by the verification applicability & programmatic methods; which include independent analysis, independent assessment of ATS issues related to waste generation, & verification of waste packaging. |
