WHAT IS ATS?

The Assessment Tracking System (ATS) is designed to plan/schedule assessments, manage internal, external, and performance assessment results, manage self-identifying, self-disclosing and abnormal event correcting actions, and 'mine' data using the reporting feature.  The ATS User's Guide  is now available on-line.

PURPOSE

The purpose of ATS is to provide ORNL with a centralized tool for planning/scheduling assessments, tracking and managing actions associated with assessments or that result from an event or condition, and 'mining' data for reporting and analyzing information for improving performance.

Anyone responsible for responding to an assessment, event or condition must document and track that event or condition using the ATS. The following must be entered in ATS

  • Organizational performance assessment schedules and results

  • External Assessments

  • Occurrence Reports

  • Type A or B investigations

  • Independent Oversight (IO) Reports

  • Internal Auditing (IA) Reports

  • Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)

  • Organization Performance Assessments

  • Price-Anderson Amendment Act (PAAA) noncompliances

Entering Information in the ATS gives specific requirements for entering and managing specific items in ATS. For additional information, please see the SBMS Subject Area entitled Performance Planning and Assessment.

WHO OWNS ATS?

ATS is owned and maintained by the ORNL Quality Services Division and user support is provided by the ATS System Administrator.

ATS USERS AND ACCESS

All ORNL staff with a UCAMS account have access to the ATS using their user ID and password.

Staff will be able to read all "open" records in the ATS unless they are marked "private." If they are marked "private" only staff assigned to that particular Directorate will have access to read the record. Assessment, Condition, Action Owners and their delegates will be able to read and edit records assigned to them.

As noted below there are several roles that require special access that are assigned by the ATS Administrator

  • Super User – ATS Administrators and ORNL’s Trending Coordinator will have read/edit access to all ATS records;

  • Super Read – Management System Owners and SBMS Points of Contact will have read access to both institutional and all private "open" ATS items;

  • P-AAA Access – P-AAA Program Office Staff will have access to read all P-AAA-related items and edit P-AAA-related fields;

  • Organization-Level Delegate – Person(s) within a Directorate/Division who will have access to edit/read all ATS items (even "draft") assigned to their organization. ATS training is required.;

  • Super Organization-Level Delegate – Quality Managers and Quality Assurance Specialists who will have access to edit/read all ATS items (even "draft") assigned to the line organization they support. ATS training is required.

TRAINING

ATS Training is available through SAP.
