Urinalysis

Approximately 1000 samples will be prepared for intercomparison. All common radio-nuclides at ORNL are included in the testing.

Fecal

Approximately 200 synthetic fecal samples are prepared for customers. All common radio-nuclides are included in the testing.

Whole Body

Phantoms have been provided to participating laboratories. Thirty sample sets are prepared. [The spectral range from 122 keV to 1836 keV (useful whole body counting range) is examined].

Reports & Data

Immediate reporting of actual values versus known values are communicated to participating facilities. A full-length report is then submitted detailing results, trending (relative bias), and comparisons with other laboratories.
