Office of the Chief Information Officer

The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is in the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate and reports directly to the Laboratory Director's Office in matters relating to policy, strategy and is responsible for managing Information Technology at ORNL. The OCIO is focused on IT Strategic Planning, Enterprise Architecture, IT Budget Formulation and Investment Control, Project Management and Performance, Cyber and Info Security, Information Dissemination, IT Operations in order to:

• modernize IT lab-wide to provide next generation services and further enable R&D,
• increase compliance to reduce risk to lab mission, and
• make IT more efficient.
