Communications
Develops a communication network enabling rapid dissemination and feedback of Chapter information.  Maintains a record of all Chapter meetings and activities.
Coordinates and assists other committees as required.
Provides timely assistance during time of member illness or death.
Maintains the Chapter history file and press book of all publicity events.

Finance
Examines and verifies the financial records of the Chapter pertaining to the receipts and disbursements of Chapter funds annually or as directed by the President when the Treasurer's office is to be transferred.
Performs an audit during the month of December and presents the results to the membership for acceptance at the January meeting.
Submits reports to the Chapter President, and in conjunction with the Treasurer, publishes a Chapter financial statement.
After the last monthly meeting of the calendar year, the Finance Committee will assist the Treasurer in preparing the end of the year tax and financial reports and will file them with the National Office.

 

Membership
Solicits new members, prepares publications and literature pertaining to increasing Chapter membership as well as membership participation in Chapter activities.
Develops and utilizes an award system to property recognize members performing outstanding Chapter achievements.
Develops an award criteria and selects a "Chapter Person of the Year."

 

Nomination
Present to the membership at the October meeting a slate of at least on candidate for each Chapter office including the representative to the National Board of Directors for preparation of the ballot.
Supervises and manages the election of new officers at the November meeting.
Presents the list of newly elected officers to the President at the close of the November meeting.
Forwards the list of candidates for the Eastern Region and the National Board.

 

Program & Special Events
Develops new programs of interest to the membership.
Makes reservations/arrangements for meeting places, dinners, parties and other programmed activities.
Arranges for guest speakers/entertainment at meetings.
Plans topic material for Chapter discussion and prepares necessary written materials as required.  Issues press releases of Chapter meetings, dinners, accomplishments, and other programmed activities.
Arranges for banners, posters, or other media publicity of Chapter programs.
Sends data to Regional and National for publication in NPMA quarterly and annual publications.
Coordinates with Chapter Treasurer for funding of chapter programs and events.

Professional Development & Education

Seminar (As Needed)
Planning and reservation of facilities and equipment
Budget preparation and expenditures (if required)
Planning and contact with speakers
Preparation of all publicity and seminar materials
